Comic-Con International has announced that nominations are now open for the 35th annual Russ Manning Promising Newcomer Award. The award will be presented at Comic-Con International: San Diego on July 22, 2016 during the Eisner Awards Ceremony. Submissions for the award are due by May 27.

The award began in 1982 along with the West Coast Comics Club. The award honors comic artists who, early in their careers, show impressive ability and knowledge in creating comics.
