Never has the term teaser trailer been more accurate, as the first look at the new Star Trek TV series leaves you wanting so much more! CBS Studios shared the exciting first look during the CBS upfront demonstration held at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

Les Moonves, President and CEO of CBS, discussed some of the components to the show. But there is still little known, aside from the logo and addition of new characters, villains, and worlds. As well as, Bryan Fuller (Hannibal) serving as the show’s executive producer/showrunner.

Not to mention franchise alums Alex Kurtzman (Star Trek) on board as executive producer and Nicholas Meyer (Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan) as writer and consulting producer.

A special premiere episode will air, in the US, on the CBS Television Network. Thereafter, the first-run episodes will be available exclusively on CBS All Access. Don't worry Trek fans, the series will also be available on TV stations/platforms around the world.

Production will begin this fall in Toronto, Canada, with the premiere scheduled for January 2016.
