Hulu has announced the TV series adaptation of the Top Cow comic, Postal. From Matt Tolmach Productions and Legendary TV, the project is now in development.

Postal was created by Matt Hawkins (Think Tank) and Bryan Hill (Broken Trinity: Pandora’s Box). It’s set in the isolated small town of Eden, Wyoming. But unlike most little towns in the US, Eden is populated and run exclusively by criminals. They live freely and have normal jobs, including a mayor, sheriff, even bartender and waitress. The only rule is zero tolerance for illegal activity. If you break the rules, don’t expect due process.

The protagonist of the comic is postmaster Mark Shiffron, the son of the mayor and the only non-criminal in residence. Mark has Asperger’s and through his ability to see the world differently, he is called upon to help solve a crime that has occurred within Eden.

The Postal TV show will be written by The Walking Dead co-executive producer Seth Hoffman. Tolmach and David Manpearl will executive produce with Marc Silvestri and Hawkins of Top Cow.

The cast and projected premiere date has yet to be set.
