Not only has 20th Century Fox shared the first official poster for Alien: Covenant, but the Prometheus sequel-Alien prequel will be hitting theaters three months sooner! The upcoming horror-science fiction movie has moved from its original August 4, 2017 release date to May 19, 2017. What better way to announce the new release than with the menacing alien, the Xenormorph?

Alien: Covenant stars Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Jussie Smolett, Amy Seimetz, Carmen Ejogo, Callie Hernandez, and Billy Crudup, with Noomi Rapace returning as Elizabeth Shaw and Guy Pearce as Peter Weyland.

Fox has additionally moved the release dates for two unspecified Marvel films, and even eliminated one. The untitled Marvel films are now scheduled for November 2, 2018 and February 14, 2019. However, the film originally scheduled for October 6, 2017 has been pulled in favor of Kingsman 2, premiering June 16, 2017.

The studio also announced that December 21, 2017 has been reserved for an unnamed film from James Cameron's Lightstorm Entertainment, rumored to be the Avatar sequel.
