Hero Initiative, the not for profit organization that helps comics pros in medical and financial need, is heading to Wizard World Portland. The three-day convention will be held next weekend on February 19-21 at the Oregon Convention Center.

Dennis O’Neil, a Hero Board of Directors member and legendary writer and editor, will be at their booth #381. O’Neil is well known for writing Green Lantern/Green Arrow and collaborating with Neal Adams on Batman. He was also an editor at Marvel and DC for decades.

He’ll be at the Hero booth on Friday from 5 PM to 6:30 PM, then on Saturday from 11 AM to 12 PM and from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM.

Hero’s ambassadors will also be on the con floor collecting donations. Keep an eye out for Christina Blanch, Kurt Busiek, Carmen Carnero, David Macho, Brian Pulido, Miguel Sepulveda, Arthur Suydam, and Mark Waid.
