Diamond Comic Distributors and graphic novel publisher Lion Forge Comics have signed an agreement that makes Diamond the exclusive distributor for Lion Forge Comics. Diamond will distribute Lion Forge Comics’ titles around the world for the comic and book markets, including comic book stores, book stores, mass market merchandisers, libraries, and other outlets.

Lion Forge Comics, a St. Louise based publisher, produces original stores with nostalgia and energy from fresh comics talents. Lion Forge is best known for Andre the Giant: Closer to Heaven, a graphic novel biography about the wrestler, which was written by Eisner Award nominee Brandon Easton. They appeal to all ages readers with Roar Comics, their imprint that produces Crystal Cadets, a series about the adventures of a group of teenage girls who fight the forces of darkness.

Lion Forge is spotlighted in the February issue of PREVIEWS, by introducing Madballs, a new ongoing comic based on the gross out toys from the 1980s. The book will tell stories of Screamin' Meemie, Brain Bash, Skullface, and the rest of Madballs. Comic fans can also grab the second issue of Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs, based on the classic ’80s western/science fiction animated series.

“As a lifelong comics reader, it's important to me that Lion Forge titles are available to the incredible comic shops, bookstores, and libraries that serve as this industry's backbone,” Lion Forge CEO David Steward II said. “I couldn't be happier that we're working with Diamond to make this happen; in a short time they've proven to be the perfect partner for our efforts to make our comics available to everyone.”

“We are excited to partner with Lion Forge and expand their reach worldwide,” said Diamond’s Executive Director of Purchasing Tim Lenaghan. “Their titles bring a new vibrant energy to the comics industry, and we look forward to a successful relationship with them.”
