Since its theatrical release, a little over two months ago, Deadpool has brought in substantial critical and commercial success. In less than a month, fans can take home Deadpool on Blu-Ray and DVD on May 10, 2016. Through the Deadpool Twitter account, fans were given a sneak peek at the special features you will receive when you purchase the film on Blu-Ray.

Many are the typical features you would expect from a home media release, albeit with some unusual edits by the loudmouth Merc himself. Including deleted scenes, a commentary with director Tim Miller and creator Rob Liefeld, a gag reel, galleries featuring plenty of spandex, as well as Deadpool’s Fun Sack. Though lord only knows what you'll find in there.

After Wade Wilson's disappointing debut in 2009's X-Men Origins: Wolverine, a more faithful spinoff was always intended to be released. Although it lingered in development for years, in 2014 animated test footage was leaked that pushed the movie into production. Two years later, and Deadpool's solo movie has nearly received universal acclaim, even reaching $730 million at the global box office.

Deadpool stayed true to the comic and followed Wade Wilson, as a mercenary who discovers he has incurable cancer. Left with no other options, Wade joins a secret program meant to cure his cancer. Although the experiment triggered latent mutant genes giving him a healing factor, it also left him disfigured. Using his combat skills and love of fourth wall breaking, Wade seeks revenge against the man that ruined his face.

Wade is joined by supporting characters Vanessa, Weasel and Blind Al, as well as appearances from Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead to connect to the X-Men. Unfortunately, their mission to convince Deadpool to become a hero doesn't go quite as planned.

20th Century Fox has officially given the green light to Deadpool 2, with Ryan Reynolds, Tim Miller and writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick returning. No release date has been set for the feature yet.
