In honor of May 4, as in May the 4th be with you, a/k/a Star Wars Day, the Internet has been abuzz with some exciting new Star Wars-related announcements. This included news on next year's Star Wars celebration, a new Star Wars video game from Titanfall’s developer, and even a small tease at the young Han Solo movie.

Star Wars celebration is an annual event centered on bringing together all corners of the Star Wars universe for one giant party. The 2017 celebration will take place April 13-16, 2017, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

Star Wars celebration has always been about the fans. It allows Lucasfilm to connect directly with the thousands of fans who have given their dedication and support to the world of Star Wars over the years, and is the perfect opportunity for us to give something back,” said Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy. Simply put, this is the party you’re looking for. Tickets for this exciting celebration are scheduled to open on May 25, 2017.

Looking for a new Star Wars video game? Well you won't have to go searching in a galaxy far, far away. Electronic Arts announced they’re working with Titanfall developer, Respawn Entertainment, on a new video game for the franchise. As of now, no details on plot or characters have been released, except that it will be “a third-person action/adventure game set in the Star Wars universe.”

“Now, I understand on the surface this might sound a bit dry, but developing a game within the ever-expanding Star Wars universe opens up so many paths for us to go down, and an unparalleled playground to design within,” shared game director Stig Asmussen. Respawn's current success with Titanfall, having sold over 10 million copies worldwide, leaves the Star Wars license in good hands.

Meanwhile, fans were hoping May the 4th would shed some light on the future of the 2018 young Han Solo movie. While there was no official news, director Chris Miller tweeted a fun picture teasing the film. The picture featured an iconic blaster, with the caption “Can't wait to get ‘shooting’ #MayThe4thBeWithYou.”

The film is set to follow the scruffy nerf herder, as well as his right hand Wookiee, in between Episode III and Episode IV. Other than the setting and the two leads, not much else is known on the project. Though rumors would suggest that Hail, Caesar! breakout star, Alden Ehrenreich, is likely to play the young iconic character. The young Han Solo movie is set to hit theaters on May 25, 2018.
