"Guess who's back, back again." Once again, Hop-Con has returned to Comic-Con in San Diego for an epic night of beer geekery. On Wednesday, July 20, 2016 Hop-Con held their fourth annual celebration in San Diego's largest restaurant, the Stone Brewing World Bistro from 8 PM to 11 PM.

This year's convention saw Stone Brewing Company team up with several prominent luminaries in the nerd world to create and debut their own tasty libations. In total there were ten w00tstout's, including all four vintages of Stone Farking Wheaton w00tstout on tap along with six custom casks made exclusively for this year.

Aisha Tyler (Archer) and Will Gustwiller (Eclipse Chocolate) teamed up to create Hot Buttered Foxx, while Rileah Vanderbilt (Mega Shark vs. Kolossus) and Bobak Ferdowsi (Sharknado 3) used their talents to make The Waffle Truth. Hop-Con creator Wil Wheaton (Star Trek) and his wife Anne created what they call A Damn Fine Cup of W00t.

Meanwhile, Jonah Ray (The Nerdist Podcast) and Stone Brewing's own Kris Ketcham harnessed their skills to create The Notorious P.O.G. Ketcham also collaborated with Half Hour Happy Hour to make I'm Super Popular At Beer. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle's Kevin Eastman teamed up with Stone Brewing to make the It's Pizza Time IPA. Another unique non-alcoholic beverage served was Unicorn Drool, crafted by comedy musicians Paul & Storm along with Russ from Carlsbad Gourmet.

Additionally, Wil Wheaton, Drew Cutis of fark.com and Stone Brewing created the 2016 Stone Farking Wheaton w00tstout. Going along with this specialty brew was a Star Wars-themed bottle created by the incredible Amanda Conner (Harley Quinn). Conner went above and beyond with the “Greg as our bearded leader” theme in her bottle art design. Each attendee was offered the chance to purchase a signed litho of the artwork, with 100% of proceeds going toward Hero Initiative.

As if the beer excitement wasn't enough, the large space of this year's convention allowed for an expansive Hop-Cade. Complete with vintage arcade games, oversized Jenga and Connect Four, pinball machines, a two-lane bocce court, and specially fabricated beer barrel games. Hop-Con even ventured into the neighboring San Diego Comic Art Gallery building, offering a glimpse at their incredible Berkley Breathed's Bloom County exhibit which will running July through October of this year.
