An exciting new exhibit is opening soon at Massachusetts' Norman Rockwell Museum, featuring the iconic animation series of Hanna-Barbera. The exhibit will focus largely on the golden years of Hanna-Barbera studio, which began in 1957 with the premiere of The Ruff and Reddy Show, to 1969 when Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! launched.

As well as, scores of TV, film animation, and live-action projects created by the studio between 1970 and 2005, including an exploration of Hanna and Barbera’s early work on Tom and Jerry. The exhibition will feature original animation art, sketches, model sheets, photographs, archival materials, toys and other commercial products, and an interactive installation with a variety of sound effects created by Hanna-Barbera.

This will be the first official museum exhibit focused on Hanna-Barbera, and will highlight the partnership and artistry of William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. As well as others they employed, including comic luminaries Jack Kirby, Alex Toth, and Doug Wildey.

“Hanna-Barbera: The Architects of Saturday Morning,” will be opening on November 12, 2016 and running through May 29, 2017. The Norman Rockwell Museum is located at 9 Route 183, Stockbridge, MA.
