The sixth annual New York Comic Con Charity Art Auction, benefitting the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, raised a total of $55,675 at this year’s convention. This amount broke the record previously set for this auction; in the last five years, ReedPOP charity auctions have raised $295,000.

“I just want to say ‘Thank you’ to everyone who participated in the sixth annual NYCC Charity Art Auction. I am very proud of this accomplishment and I hope you are too,” NYCC Artist Alley and Creator Coordinator Mike Negin said via a statement on Facebook. “It means a great deal to me that we are able to help contribute so much to this incredibly [worthy] cause.”

Artists who contributed pieces for this year’s auction included Walt Simonson, Robbi Rodriguez, Frank Miller, George Pérez, Billy Tucci, and many others. Simonson’s piece alone brought in $8,500 for the charity.
