“We’re really excited to welcome American Mythology to the VA Comicon. Since their debut earlier this year, they’ve had a compelling mix of creator-owned comics and licensed titles, and we’re very happy to have some of their top creators at the show,” said Brett Carreras, the convention’s promoter. “We’ll be offering very limited Virginia Comicon exclusive editions of two American Mythology comics, Stargate Atlantis #1 and Pink Panther #1. Each of them are limited to just 50 copies.”

“As one of the longest running comic book conventions in all of comics, the VA Comicon has some of the best fans on the circuit. This is particularly true of its two-day shows. The audience comes hungry for comics, and we’re looking forward to serving up a great selection of our new material, including convention exclusive editions,” said Barlow Jones, Marketing Manager for American Mythology. “Following our great creator line-up in Baltimore earlier this year, Richmond is our next major stop.”

This year’s installment of the two-day VA Comicon is already shaping up to be its most comic-centric event in years. Headline guests including writer-artist Howard Chaykin (American Flagg), legendary Batman editor Denny O’Neil, Harley’s Little Black Book artist Billy Tucci, Batman and Grayson writer Tom King, Champions writer Mark Waid, and Dick Tracy artist Joe Staton.
