Following the teaser from last week, Universal Pictures has graciously unwrapped the first full-length trailer for the upcoming feature, The Mummy. The franchise reboot, starring Tom Cruise, takes place in modern day, where a desert tomb has been unearthed. After awakening an ancient princess, who feels her destiny was wrongfully taken away, a malevolence is unleashed on the world. From the sands of the Middle East to the labyrinths in modern day London, no one is safe from this royally angered monster.

The action-adventure horror film is directed by Alex Kurtzman (Star Trek) based on a script by Jon Spaihts (Passengers). The Mummy also stars Sofia Boutella (Star Trek Beyond), Jake Johnson (Jurassic World), Annabelle Wallis and Courtney B. Vance (American Crime Story: The People vs. OJ Simpson), and Russell Crowe (Man of Steel) as Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde.

Kurtzman has also teamed up with Chris Morgan to oversee a new development of interconnected movies, reimagining Universal's classic monsters. Some films are already in development, set to feature the Invisible Man, the Wolf Man, Van Helsing, the Creature from the Black Lagoon, and the Bride of Frankenstein.

The Mummy premieres June 9, 2017.
