By the Hoary Hosts of Hoggoth! Doctor Strange continues to mystify at the global box office, earning $634.9 million worldwide. It has surpassed Iron Man 2, which ended its theatrical run with 623.9 million, as well as The Incredible Hulk ($263 million), Captain America: The First Avenger ($371 million), Thor ($449 million), Ant-Man ($520 million), and Iron Man ($585 million).

Overseas, Doctor Strange has brought in $419.6 million, sliding past Deadpool ($419.5 million) on its way to surpass Suicide Squad's $420.5 million total. Unlike Doctor Strange, both Deadpool and Suicide Squad, didn't benefit from distribution in the world's second-largest film market, China. The highly anticipated Marvel film earned $110.3 million in China alone.

Doctor Strange, starring Benedict Cumberbatch, follows renowned surgeon Stephen Strange, whose life turns upside down following a horrific car accident. After traditional medicine fails him, Strange begins searching for another means of healing inside a mysterious enclave. What he finds places him at the front line in a battle between unseen dark forces.

The feature film also stars Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, Benedict Wong, Michael Stuhlbarg, Benjamin Bratt, Scott Adkins, Mads Mikkelsen, and Tilda Swinton.
