The first Cosplay Collectible Convention (C3) will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017. The event will host cosplayers and fans of the hobby in a fun and educational environment at the Hyatt Regency in Morristown, NJ.

“Cosplay is an art form that has arrived and its participants are indeed artists. By the way, some cosplayers are making millions of dollars in income, so dust off those pop genre, superhero and anime costumes and learn how to get in on a fun hobby and a possible career,” Sal Zurzolo, C3 co-promoter, said.

“C3 will have cosplay guests, panels, vendors, costume contests with prizes and an after-party. The educational panels providing costume making and career advice. For example, legendary New Jersey artist, Greg Hildebrandt will be hosting a panel about Cosplay Modeling and how this transcends into his paintings and works of art,” co-promoter, Dave O’Hare, said.

C3 will be a family friendly con during the day, with kids 11 years old and younger getting in for free. Adult events start in the evening, with the after party at 8 PM with DJ Cool Roy, cosplay karaoke, nerdy burlesque, and other activities with a cash bar.

“Sal, Dave, and I run other conventions where we have noticed a big increase in the number of people who attend in costume. We also saw the success of the cosplay events in other states. So, we thought that New Jersey deserves a cosplay convention of its own,” Joe Veteri, C3 co-promoter, said.

“We know cosplayers and cosplay fans love to attend conventions and be photographed, so it’s worth noting that the Hyatt Regency has some great locations for photo’s including the wall of cascading water and there will be plenty of photographers scouting new talent to shoot,” O’Hare added.

Tickets are available for preorder online and at the door. There will be free parking for attendees. Learn more about the con at CosplayCollectibleCon.com, on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.
