New Yorkers, have you been searching for something fun and exciting to do with the kiddos? Well, look no further! Kid’s Comic Con (KCC) is returning for its 11th annual event on Saturday, April 22, 2017. It’s located at the Bronx Community College, 181 Street and University Avenue, Bronx, New York.
The theme for this year’s children’s outreach program is…Power Rangers! Prepare to embark on thrilling adventures, while celebrating the diversity of heroes around the world. New programming and activities for this year will place children of all ages right into the heart of the action.
As always, KCC will feature noted comic creators and children’s entertainers. In addition to artists, free drawing workshops, cosplayers, book vendors, gamers, autograph signings, portfolio reviewing and much more.
Bronx’s premiere comics and gaming store, The Lair, will also be returning this year with roleplaying card game tournaments featuring Yu-Gi-Oh!, Pokémon, and Magic, the Gathering. This fun-for-all-ages competition is open to various player levels. The Lair is also brining plenty of supplies for KCC attendees to stock up on all their gaming needs.
KCC is currently still accepting applications for guests and vendors for its April 22 show. Those wishing to exhibit at KCC should visit kidscomiccon.com. A small registration fee does apply.
Any exhibitors interested in leading workshops, panels or lectures can submit their ideas to KCC founder, Alex Simmons at alex@KidsComicCon.com.
The 2017 Kid’s Comic Con is running from 10 AM to 6 PM, and as always admission is free. For additional information and up-to-the-minute programming updates, visit Kid’s Comic Con on Facebook.
