The New York Mets are partnering with Marvel for a special promotional bobblehead to be given away during the 2017 baseball season. The bobble will feature Mets pitcher Noah Syndergaard sporting a look to make him appear even more like his nickname of Thor.
The Mets have not finalized the product, but have released a first look preview of the concept art. It shows Syndergaard sporting Thor's helmet and cape, with the mighty hammer laying on the mound. The bobblehead will be given away to the first 15,000 fans on July 22, 2017, at Citi Field, when the Mets face off against the Oakland Athletics. Not only does the promotion tie in nicely with the Mets' pitcher, but it will also help to promote Marvel's upcoming Thor: Ragnarok, which will arrive on November 3.
