Mark your calendars Whovians! As part of a special two-day theatrical release on April 17-19, 2017, Fathom Events will be bringing the season 10 premiere of Doctor Who to theaters across North America.

The episode will be accompanied by two exciting bonus features, including the series premiere for the Doctor Who spinoff, Class, in which Peter Capaldi’s Doctor also guest stars. Along with a never before seen behind the scenes bonus mini documentary entitled Becoming the Companion - during which the cast and crew describe the process of selecting the right actor and character.

According to showrunner Stephen Moffat, it’s a task that is “every bit as difficult as casting a new Doctor.” Speaking of difficult, Michelle Gomez is set to reprise her role as the Doctor’s nemesis, Missy, in season 10. In a tweet from the official Doctor Who feed, Missy recorded her own reaction video to the latest season trailer.

Doctor Who – starring Peter Capaldi as the Doctor, Pearl Mackie as Bill Potts, and Matt Lucas as Nardole – returns to BBC One and BBC America on Saturday, April 15. Class will also be making its U.S. debut on BBC America on the same day.

Tickets for the cinematic showings can be purchased through the Fathom Events website.
