New Dimension Comics is partnering with Kennywood amusement part in West Mifflin, PA for Kennywood Comicon. On Father’s Day, Sunday, June 18, 2017, comic book vendors, artists, creators, and pop culture attractions will be in the park, set up at the Lagoon area. Artists will be featured in the pavilions.

“I’m thrilled to partner with Kennywood to bring our comic book resources together into one of the most fun venues in Pittsburgh for a great event,” Todd McDevitt, owner of New Dimension Comics and promoter of 3 Rivers Comicon, said. “We are both in the family entertainment business, so joining forces is a natural fit.”

“We believe comicon will be a big hit with our guests and provide a little extra bonus to all the fun of a day at Kennywood,” said Kennywood General Manager Jerome Gibas. “Creating special events to bring added value to our guests has always been a practice of ours, and we’re excited to leverage the popularity of comicons with this event.”

During that day, patrons who go to Kennywood wearing a superhero shirt will be admitted for $25 instead of the regular admission of $47.99. All attendees will be given a special custom edition of Betty & Veronica #1, depicting an exclusive cover by Robert Hack, which shows the Archie gang at Kennywood. Hack will be there signing copies of the comic.

Kennywood Comicon will run during the regular Kennywood hours, opening at 10:30 AM. More details will be announced at www.ndcomics.com, including info on vendors and artists.
