Hydra is back on Agents of SHIELD and they are already intimidating us! Several propaganda posters advertising Hydra’s return were recently posted on the show’s official Facebook page.

At the end of the episode “Self Control” Daisy and Jemma entered the Framework, a virtual world similar to the Matrix. There, members of the team are shown living what could be called ideal lives, or lives with no regrets. In the Framework, SHIELD did not defeat Hydra, instead Hydra is running things.

The posters have anti-Inhumans, pro-Hydra themes, depicting taglines like “I’m with Hydra Are You?” and “Vigilance Against Inhumans.” They allude to serious levels of surveillance and are outright against Inhumans. One poster goes so far as to state that not having proper ID will result in “detention and sanitation.”

When the show left off at “Self Control” we saw the characters in several new positions, including May in the Triskelion where the Hydra logo was clearly visible. It also looks like Grant Ward, the SHIELD Agent who was revealed as a Hydra mole in season one, will be back and likely make life difficult for our heroes.
