The New 52 Batman creative team of Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo will announce the details of DC’s next big summer event – which DC is calling “the next seminal Batman story” – during a panel at next week’s Fan Expo Dallas. Not attending the convention? No worries, the announcement will be livestreamed for fans not in attendance.

Snyder previously teased the event at New York Comic Con, saying it is “very Batman centric, and very rock ‘n’ roll.” He later described the event as a “capstone” for his Batman run with Capullo, who will return to DC after a stint illustrating Reborn - his creator-owned series with Mark Millar.

The announcement will occur in a panel called “DC Comics: Special Event” on Sunday, April 2 at 1 PM CT. DC co-publishers Jim Lee and Dan DiDio will also be in attendance, with DiDio scheduled to moderate the panel.
