The wait is finally over! CBS officially released the first full trailer for the highly anticipated new series, Star Trek: Discovery. This new program, which premieres on CBS with following episodes available on the subscription streaming site, is set 10 years before the original 1960s Star Trek series.

As such, the trailer features plenty of old school Trek tech including a classic flip-style communicator. Not to mention Federation action, spaceships, new characters and the return of pixelated beaming FX. Sonequa Martin-Green (The Walking Dead), who plays First Officer Michael Burnham, and Michelle Yeoh (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon), who plays Capt. Philippa Georgiou, lead the clip with a casual desert stroll. The trailer then bounces around to the bridge of the Discovery, a heated exchange with the Klingons, and various character interactions.

Star Trek: Discovery, created by Alex Kurtzman and Bryan Fuller, also stars Jason Isaacs (Harry Potter) as Captain Lorca, Doug Jones (The Strain) as science officer Lt. Saru, Anthony Rapp (Rent) as Lt. Stamets, an astromycologist and science officer on the Discovery, and Rainn Wilson (The Office) as Harry Mudd.

No release date has been set, but Star Trek: Discovery is expected to arrive in Fall 2017.
