Get ready New Jersey, Garden State Comic Fest (GSCF) is just around the corner. The exciting convention is taking place on July 8-9, 2017 at the William G. Mennen Arena on 161 Hanover Ave in Morristown, New Jersey.

According to co-owners Dave O’Hare and Sal Zurzolo, they have put together “a convention of rare appearances including TV superhero stars, Dean Cain (The Adventures of Lois & Clark, Supergirl) and John Wesley Shipp (the 1990 and 2014 The Flash).”

“Cain and Shipp are fan favorites and will be making their first Garden State Comic Fest appearances ever,” shared Zurzolo.

“GSCF always puts the comics and their creators first and so we will have popular artists like David Finch (Wonder Woman), Diana Leto (My Little Pony), Jan Duursema (Star Wars), Robert Atkins (G.I. Joe), and legends Walt Simonson (Thor), Greg Hildebrandt (Star Wars), and Tom Palmer (Doctor Strange). In addition, we will have writers like Keith Giffen (Legion of Super-Heroes), Joe Caramagna (Guardians of the Galaxy), and Ash Maczko (Squarriors),” noted O’Hare.

“British resident Barry Kitson (Spider-Man) will also be making a rare Jersey appearance,” added Zurzolo.

Also attending are “visually stunning pro cosplayer Ani-Mia and Extreme Costumes’ Tom DePetrillo – who will be sporting a 9-foot-tall Reinhardt costume – to represent this art form,” continued O’Hare.

Vincent Zurzolo of Metropolis Comics, will be bringing a collection of Golden, Silver, Bronze, Copper, and Modern Age comics ranging in cost from thousands of dollars to fifty cents. Two major grading services will also be making their annual GSCF appearance. “Right after you buy your comics, you can submit them to CGC or CBCS for grading – a process that usually increases the value of a book,” shared O’Hare.

In addition to comic creators and celebrity guests, GSCF will have a vast selection of comics, toys, and collectible vendors with several convention exclusives you won’t find at any other shows. VIP ticket holders will get a Swag Bag with a show exclusive comic as well as other goodies. During the Garden State Cosplay Showdown, GSCF will also crown a new costume contest champion.

Tickets are currently available online starting at $25 (pre-show) for a single day pass. For more information, visit www.GSComicFest.com or their Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts.
