In its first four weeks in theaters Wonder Woman has already significantly crossed the $600 million mark at the global box office. The film also grossed $318.4 million in North American theaters passing 2013’s Man of Steel ($291 million), sitting poised to surpass last year’s Suicide Squad ($325.1 million) and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice ($330.4 million) by early July.

The action-packed movie has been an outlier at the summer box office, with lower percentage drops in its first month than any other recent superhero movie. As such, it’s very possible that Wonder Woman will become the biggest film in DC’s Extended Universe. The studio’s biggest North American earners are currently The Dark Knight ($534.9 million) and The Dark Knight Rises ($448.1 million).

Globally, the film has also become the biggest live-action film by a female director, eclipsing the $609.8 million racked up by Phyllida Lloyd’s Mamma Mia! in 2008. The top-grossing movie co-directed by a woman is Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck’s Frozen ($1.276 billion).

Wonder Woman stars Gal Gadot as Diana, Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, Robin Wright as General Antiope, Danny Huston as General Erich Ludendorff, Elena Anaya as Doctor Poison, David Thewlis as Sir Patrick, and Lucy Davis as Etta Candy. The film is currently playing in theaters.
