Hero Initiative, the charitable organization dedicated to helping veteran comic creators in medical or financial need, is heading to Comic-Con International: San Diego. This convention is taking place at the San Diego Convention Center on July 19-23, 2017. Throughout the weekend, Hero Initiative will have exclusives, parties, and special guests. Be sure to head over to booth 5003 to get in on the action.

The fun begins on July 19, with Stone Brewing’s annual Hop-Con. Stone’s famous w00tstout beer will flow at Stone World Bistro, with artist Walter Simonson creating this year’s label and print for the beer. Prints will be available for sale at the venue and at Hero’s booth, with all proceeds benefiting Hero Initiative. Tickets are on sale now.

Later that day, the fun continues at Gabe Eltaeb’s Fourth Annual Comic Kickoff Fundraiser and Party. This event is taking place at Basic Bar and Pizza on 410 10th Avenue from 9 PM to 1 AM. Join artists Todd Nauck, Jim Calafiore, Eddie Nunez and Carlos D’Anda for the chance to win great raffle prizes and share a couple drinks to support Hero initiative.

Rob Liefeld will also be drawing Deadpool for Hero’s exclusive The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide #47 cover. This yearly must-have is limited to 500 copies in hardcover only, retailed at $35. Make sure you grab your copy at the Hero booth.

Hero is also the exclusive go-to for CGC Signature Series signings from top creators Dave Gibbons, Amanda Conner, Jimmy Palmiotti, Dan Jurgens, Steve Orlando, Mike Grell, Nicola Scott, Brian Haberlin, Walter and Louise Simonson, John Layman, Ron Marz, Bill Morrison, Jai Nitz, Joe Staton, Mark Waid, and Bill Willingham.
