During Comic-Con International: San Diego on July 20-23, 2017, fans will get a first look at Titan Comics’ all-new Fighting American series. This convention special issue 0 features a black and white pencil cover by the legendary Terry Dodson.
Fighting American, created in 1954 by the creative team of Joe Simon and Jack Kirby, was the pure embodiment of the American superhero. This patriotically themed character brought justice to “the Commies,” while also facing villains like Double Header, Hotsky Trotsky, and Round Robin. Titan Comics’ new series, led by writer Gordon Rennie (2000AD) and artist Duke Mighten (Judge Dredd), picks up right where Simon and Kirby’s legendary series ended.
This special 24-page #0 presents readers with a first look into this brand-new series, along with a preview of Fighting American #1, plus several back matter features, an interview with Rennie, character sketches by Mighten, as well as the complete origin story by Simon and Kirby.
Fighting American #0 will be available for purchase at the Titan booth 5537. Fans will also have the opportunity to get their comic signed by Dodson at the booth on July 21 at 1 PM.
Keep up with Titan Comics’ Comic-Con plans on Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr.
