Flying Colors Comics & Other Cool Stuff is getting ready to host the third annual FlyCo Mini Indie-Con. Featuring local independent comic book artists and writers, the event will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2017 from 11 AM to 4 PM at 2980 Treat Boulevard in Concord, CA.

Guests are Daniel Brereton (artist-writer Nocturnals: Sinister Path, Giantkiller), Ben Ferrari (artist-writer-publisher of Clayton’s Pilot Studios), Robert Stewart (Afterburner Comics), Matt Harding (creator Pop Apocalypse, publisher Not Forgotten: The Best Anthology of Public Domain Super-Heroes), and Sarah Leuver (creator-cartoonist A.K.A.). All artist will have work available for purchase during the event.

The mini con will also celebrate the legacy of Jack Kirby. In commemoration of the Kirby4Heroes campaign, Flying Colors will donate a portion of sales that day to the Hero Initiative.

“I’m thrilled to see how our third annual FlyCo Mini Indie-Con is shaping up. We love giving a spotlight to local artists to show their stuff. I know there’s going to be something fun for every comics’ fan at our event,” Joe Field, owner of Flying Colors Comics, said. “Plus, our celebration of Jack Kirby’s centennial will include some delicious cake. You’ve got to be here to see this Kirby inspired cake before you gobble a piece.”
