It’s official: David Tennant will returning for the second season of the Netflix drama Jessica Jones. The Doctor Who alum previously starred in the first season as the mind-controlling villain, Kilgrave. The return of his character is surprising, given that Jones grew immune to Kilgrave’s powers and killed him during the season finale.

While Tennant’s involvement in the Krysten Ritter led series is currently under wraps, Entertainment Weekly has shared an exclusive photo of the two on set. Jessica Jones is set to return to Netflix in 2018. Ritter has also reprised her role as Jones on the crossover miniseries The Defenders – streaming on Netflix on August 18, 2017.
