The Overstreet Guide to Collecting Horror is now available for preorder on the Gemstone website. The full-color softcover edition is the latest in Gemstone’s “How To” line of reference collecting guides and the first focused on a genre.

The new book covers a large variety of collectibles within the horror genre. Written by Gemstone Associate Editor Amanda Sheriff, with several knowledgeable contributing authors, the book features content on movies, comic books, video games, TV shows, literature, and music across a variety of horror styles and categories.

It includes features on Universal Monsters, Hammer Horror, EC Comics, Friday the 13th, Funko, The Walking Dead, General Mills Monster Cereal, sci-fi horror, Vincent Price, and more. There’s tons of memorabilia, such as out of print VHS and DVD, action figures, first edition books, autographs, soundtracks, popular comics, movie posters, and toys. It also features interviews with collectors and horror actors Linnea Quigley and Sid Haig, plus a foreword by Quigley.

“I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am for this book. I love horror and I hope that fellow genre fans will enjoy reading this as much as I did writing it,” Sheriff said. “With content on so many different entertainment mediums, horror subgenres, and collectible types, I think any horror fan will find something in this book that makes them scary happy.”
