The Overstreet Guide to Collecting Horror is joining the party at Monster-Mania Con. The newest in Gemstone Publishing’s “How To” line of reference books will launch at the horror convention during the event on September 29 through October 1, 2017 at the Delta Hotel Marriot in Hunt Valley, MD.

A limited supply of copies of The Overstreet Guide to Collecting Horror will be on sale at the Gemstone booth throughout the weekend. The book’s author, Gemstone Associate Editor Amanda Sheriff, and other contributors will be there to discuss the book and sign copies for collectors.

“Monster-Mania is one of my favorite conventions, both as a journalist and attendee, so having that as the venue for the first wave of sales on the book is very exciting,” Sheriff said.

The Overstreet Guide to Collecting Horror is devoted to all things within the scary entertainment genre. It is filled with content on movies, literature, comic books, video games, soundtracks, TV shows, and magazines. There are features on EC Comics, Universal Monsters, Friday the 13th, Hammer Horror, The Walking Dead, Japanese horror, Stephen King, sci-fi/horror, and plenty more. There are also interviews with collectors and actors, Linnea Quigley and Sid Haig. It opens with a foreword by Quigley.

Interested attendees can learn more about Monster-Mania Con in our Catch the Wave coverage and the show’s website. Those who can’t make it to the con can preorder a copy of the book on Gemstone’s website.
