Wizard World, Inc. has just announced the first iteration of its 2018 calendar, securing a total of 11 events – including 11 holdovers from successful 2017 shows. Several events have also been postponed from their originally scheduled fourth-quarter dates in 2017 to similar dates in 2018. These include conventions in Biloxi, Mississippi; Montgomery, Alabama; Peoria, Illinois; Springfield, Missouri; and Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

The 2018 schedule, which will likely add some additional cities to be announced, is as follows: New Orleans, LA (January 5-7); St. Louis, MO (February 2-4); Cleveland, OH (March 2-4); Portland, OR (April 13-15); Philadelphia, PA (May 17-20); Des Moines, IA (June 1-3); Columbus, OH (June 8-10); Boise, ID (July 13-15); Chicago, IL (August 23-26); Madison, WI (September 21-23); and Oklahoma City, OK (October 26-28).

The following shows are tentatively scheduled for the time periods listed but do not have specific dates yet: Austin, TX (Fall); Biloxi, MS (October-November); Montgomery, AL (October-November); Peoria, IL (October-November); Springfield, MO (October-November) and Winston-Salem, NC (October-November).

While the rosters of celebrities and artists at each city are still being formed, a few have already committed to several events, including Stan Lee (The Amazing Spider-Man) and Jason Momoa (Justice League) for New Orleans, Bonnie Wright (Harry Potter) and Michael Rosenbaum (Guardians of the Galaxy 2) for St. Louis and Portland, as well as Jon Heder (Napoleon Dynamite) and Holly Marie Combs (Charmed) for Cleveland.

“The confirmed portion of Wizard World’s 2018 schedule combines many of the cities which have proven most attractive to fans with some new markets that we believe will embrace us similarly. In moving five of our more recently announced shows to 2018, we are better equipped to put on the kind of successful pop culture celebration that our fans have come to expect,” said John D. Maatta, Wizard World President and CEO.

Additional celebrities and creators, as well as entertainment and programming schedules, will be announced closer to each respective date.
