Hulu has released a new teaser trailer for their upcoming anthology series, Castle Rock. Few details are revealed, although it does feature haunting imagery like a videotape ablaze, a submerged vehicle, and a masked figure.

Teased by executive producer J.J. Abrams back in February 2017, Castle Rock is inspired by Stephen King’s large, interconnected world. The small town of Castle Rock is the setting for many of King’s books, however this series will serve as a reimagining to tell an original story. Although, King fans will be pleased to know many characters and themes of King’s original books will be scattered throughout the series.

Joining the shared-universe project are King alum’s Sissy Spacek, who played the iconic title character in the film adaptation of King’s Carrie; and Bill Skarsgård who brought Pennywise the Dancing Clown to life in the 2017 adaptation of King’s It. Castle Rock also stars André Holland (Moonlight), Jane Levy (Don’t Breathe), Melanie Lynskey (Togetherness), and Terry O’Quinn (Lost).

The series, being developed by Sam Shaw (Masters of Sex) and Dustin Thomason (Lie to Me), is slated for release in 2018.
