Fans of the Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings weren’t the only ones cheering during Monday Night Football. During the game, the new Star Wars: The Last Jedi trailer premiered and in just 12 hours it racked up 8.5 million views on the series’ YouTube channel.

Things are not looking very hopeful in the galaxy far, far away. The best word to describe it may just be: trepidation.

It starts with Supreme Leader Snoke talking to Kylo Ren about his raw power, which quickly transitions to a shot of Rey holding Luke’s lightsaber. She shares that something has been awakened inside her which we see a glimpse of when a large rock cracks beside her and Luke while she is using the Force. Luke expresses his fear about her powers and the fact that he has seen that type of raw strength before and it scares him.

What follows are quicker snippets of the rest of the characters. There’s a tense moment during a space battle when Kylo may fire upon a ship carrying his mother, General Leia. We see the Millennium Falcon in action and Chewie with a new co-pilot or mascot. Poe is seen flying through a battle and giving a rousing speech about fighting the First Order, and we are shown what could be an awesome fight between Finn and Captain Phasma.

The Last Jedi will hit theaters in about two months on December 15, 2017. The ensemble cast is led by series vets Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher with The Force Awakens stars Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, and Andy Serkis. Newcomers include Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Laura Dern, and Benicio Del Toro.
