The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Legends of Tomorrow’s Victor Garber will exit The CW drama during the current third season. 

Following his recurring role on The Flash as Martin Stein/Firestorm, Garber has starred in the Greg Berlanti and Marc Guggenheim drama as a series regular since season one. His character has also made appearances on other shows in the Arrow-verse. 

Garber will be returning to Broadway to star in the Tony-winning revival of Hello, Dolly! opposite Bernadette Peters. Taking over for David Hyde Pierce, Gaber’s first show is January 20, 2018. Starring on Broadway, while attempting to film Legends in Vancouver, would have made continuing his series-regular role impossible.

Legends will address Garber’s departure, however given the premise of the series, the possibility for Garber to return is entirely feasible.
