Alterna Comics recently signed a distribution deal with Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, and Toys “R” Us. Now, the publisher has announced the new titles debuting as part of their 2018 newsprint line-up. All 13 titles are retailed under $2, with most selling for $1.50.

The three-issue miniseries, Go West – created by Garrett Gunn, Stan Yak, Sean Forney, and HdE – will be coming to comic shops in January. The following month, Alterna is releasing another three-issue miniseries focused on supernatural horror. Sonitus is led by Cody Sousa, Dan Sheppard, Cecilia Lo Valvo, Dee Cunniffe, and Dezi Sienty. 

Also releasing in February is Patrick Trahey, Luis Suárez, and Martín A. Pérez’s thriller, The XII. Currently, The XII is planned to run for six issues in, but there are tentative plans to continue the series in 2019-2020. Tinseltown – created by David Blake Lucarelli, Henry Ponciano, and HdE – unites old Hollywood glam and mystery in March for a five-issue miniseries. 

Patrick Mulholland’s four-issue miniseries, Zero Jumper, combines time travel with sci-fi fantasy elements in March. Meanwhile the 56-page one-shot, The Fear Diaries, brings together Legend and Toy Story in May. Leading this series is Gunn, Nicolas Touris, and HdE. Robert Feldman’s three-issue miniseries, Cyko Ko!, will be released in July. Also debuting in July is Eric Henson’s four-issue sci-fi adventure, Eden.

Coming in August is Robert Geronimo’s four-part series, Blood Realm, which feature three issues over the course of two years; as well as Chris Charlton, Rowel Roque, Anthonie Nemo Wilson, and Brant Fowler’s six-issue miniseries – Binary Gray; plus Benjamin Slabak, Salo Farias, Marc Sintes, Carlos Jobani, and HdE’s six-issue miniseries Exilium

Bernie Gonzalez’s 12-issue anthology horror series, Midnight Mystery, will be coming to comic shops in October. Followed by Dave Swartz, Joseph Cooper, and Micah Myers’ Feast or Famine in November. The latter series sees parallel versions of Nikola Tesla and Albert Einstein team-up to save the universe.
