Harley Quinn, the antiheroine who has seen a tremendous wave in popularity over the past few years, is getting her own animated TV series. Set for the Warner Bros./DC digital-first streaming platform, it will be written and executive produced by Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacker of Powerless, along with Dean Lorey.

The 30-minute adult animated comedy show will see her break things off with the Joker and be a solo act as a crime queen in Gotham City. Warner Bros. and DC have already ordered 26 episodes for Harley fans.

According to Deadline, Margot Robbie is at the top of the wish list to voice the character, which is a solid choice since her portrayal of the psychiatrist who falls for Joker was one of the best elements of the Suicide Squad movie.

This will be the third series greenlit for the DC digital subscription service, following the live-action Titans and the third season of Young Justice.
