Everyone’s favorite teenaged witch, Sabrina, will be heading to a brand-new series on Netflix. The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, a previously-announced one-hour drama/horror project that’s been in development from Riverdale showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, will be heading to the streaming service.

This show, written by Aguirre-Sacasa, will be directed by Lee Toland Krieger and produced by Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Studios. Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schecter, and Jon Goldewater will join Aguirre-Sacasa and Krieger as executive producers.

Sabrina will be drawing primarily from the critically-acclaimed Chilling Adventures of Sabrina comic book series, written by Aguirre-Sacasa with artist Robert Hack. It will be detailing the compelling and shocking reimagining of Sabrina’s occult origins. According to the official press release, the “dark coming-of-age story deals with horror, the occult, and witchcraft and will see Sabrina struggle to reconcile her dual nature of being half-witch and half-mortal while protecting her family and the world from the forces of evil.”
