Following the news that a rough cut of Justice League by Zack Snyder existed, many fans were eager to get their hands on it. As a result, an event was planned by Youtuber Itzmoe to “take a photo in front of Warner Bros. with a #ReleaseTheSnyderCut sign while wearing our Zack Snyder shirts/DC shirts, and costumes to (peacefully) show our support for the release of a Snyder cut of Justice League!”
This plan came to fruition on January 6, 2018 as a small group of fans gathered outside the Warner Bros.’ headquarters in Burbank, California. The fans were dressed in costumes and various Justice League merchandise, holding the “#ReleaseTheSnyderCut” banner.
Due to personal circumstances, Snyder stepped down midway through filming, leaving director Joss Whedon to complete production. Justice League is expected to close its theatrical run at around $675 million and is scheduled for digital release on January 30 and on DVD and Blu-ray in March.
