Writer Steve Orlando (Virgil) and artist Garry Brown (Black Road) are launching the revenge thriller Crude in April. The Image Comics/Skybound Entertainment comic will tell the story of Piotr Petrovich who was once feared the world over, but things changed when his son was sent to him in a body bag. He travels to Russia hunting for his son’s killers while learning more about his son. Once he finds them, they’ll likely fear him again.

“It’s been an honor to work with Skybound Entertainment and Image Comics to bring Piotr Petrovich Bilibin’s exciting, tragic story into the hands of readers,” Orlando said. “The creative team involved in Crude has put together something vital, thrilling, bursting with gristle and energy. I can’t wait for you all to join us in Blackstone, a blood-rusted world never before seen, where grit and greed are the currencies of the day.”

Crude #1 will be in comic book stores on Wednesday, April 11.
