Diamond Comic Distributors is currently seeking to hire an Administrative Assistant for the Sales Department. This is a full-time, entry level position that will be located at the home office in Hunt Valley, Maryland.
The position summary states that, “The Administrative Assistant will assist the Sales Department with compiling and circulating reports, data management, and sales material preparation. Knowledge of the world of comic books, toys, and pop culture is a plus.”
Essential job functions will include: running and distributing daily and monthly reports; data entry of expense reports and weekly sales numbers; compiling sales data into department recap; managing item ship date information; performing customer-specific tasks on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis; tracking application circulation of new retail customers; assisting with preparation of monthly sales materials, special projects as assigned, and Inside Sales Managers and Representatives as needed; backing-up New Accounts Department as needed; and all other duties as assigned.
Applicants need a high school diploma or equivalent and some college is preferred; they must be computer literate, have data entry and typing skills, and knowledge of Outlook, Excel, Word and Access for Windows is preferred; and excellent communication and organizational skills. Applicants should also have knowledge of or ability to learn about toys and other collectibles and knowledge of Diamond Comic Distributors services and procedures.
