She is the Slayer! Buffy Summers will appear on the cover of The Big, Big edition of The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide #48. This oversized, limited edition version of the Guide is a must-have for dealers, serious collectors, and historians.

This year, The Big, Big Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide will be square bound (instead of the previously spiralbound), featuring only the pricing sections and the lists of top comics. It contains no ads and no articles, just tons of prices and other data.

The Big, Big is now featured in Diamond Comic Distributors’ April 2018 edition of PREVIEWS on page 392. The guide will arrive in comic book stores on July 18, 2018, retailing for $47.50.

Popular Buffy the Vampire Slayer comics artist Georges Jeanty created the art for the cover. Providing a heroic image of the Slayer battling creatures of the night as they surround her in the cemetery.

“We’re very happy to have Georges Jeanty pencil and Karl Story ink the cover for The Big, Big Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide #48. We’ve been fans of their work on Buffy for years and we think they’ve created a great image for us,” said J.C. Vaughn, Vice-President of Publishing for Gemstone Publishing.

Since the Big, Big edition’s return with #42 it has featured top cover artists like Lewis LaRosa (#42, X-O Manowar), Will Conrad (#43, Shadowman), Francesco Francavilla (#43, Afterlife With Archie), Kevin Eastman (#44, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), Joe Corroney (#46, Stark Trek), and Billy Tucci (#47, The Tick).

The Bible of serious comic book collectors, dealers, and historians since it was first published in 1970, The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide is released each July by Gemstone Publishing. Compiled by founder Robert M. Overstreet and an extensive roster of Overstreet Advisors, the Guide offers insight into the complex and exciting comic book market.

In addition to this limited Buffy the Vampire Slayer cover, Gemstone has also announced a Flash/Green Lantern cover by Ethan Van Sciver (in both hardcover and softcover) and a Planet of the Apes cover by Ryan Sook (also in both hardcover and softcover) as well as for The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide #48. They will have the same on-sale date, July 18, as the Big, Big.
