Marvel Studios made a surprising announcement that there won’t be a Marvel Cinematic Universe Hall H panel during the 2018 Comic-Con International: San Diego.
During the Avengers: Infinity War press junket in Hollywood, Marvel Studios President of Production Kevin Feige said that Marvel Studios will have a presence at Comic-Con, but will not host a Hall H panel. “…Marvel Studios will have a presence there only in that there will be 10th anniversary materials and a 10th anniversary panel. Not doing Hall H this year.”
Hall H has become the location for major announcements and the site where fans are most likely to see the big stars from movies and TV shows at Comic-Con. This could disappoint fans who clinched a Saturday ticket, the day major announcements and the biggest panels are typically held.
Fans were anticipating some announcements on Avengers 4 or Phase 4, maybe even some title reveals, or early footage of Captain Marvel. Celebration of the 10th anniversary could still include plenty of exciting events for fans and Marvel, alike. They could host appearances by actors, directors, and writers, or exhibit screen-used material, like costumes and props.
