They’re tiny, they’re toony, they’re all a little looney and in 2019 they are officially coming back! Warner Bros. Animation has announced the return of your favorite Looney Tunes in a modern take on the iconic shorts. The newly titled Looney Tunes Cartoons, ranging from one to six minutes, will feature a cartoonist-driven approach “allowing their own personality and style to come through in each cartoon.”

“The Looney Tunes are one of the most beloved group of animated characters in the world,” said Warner Bros. Animation President Sam Register. “Looney Tunes Cartoons places these characters into the hands of some of the best artists in the business and into an animated shorts format that will remind many of the time when they first fell in love with Bugs, Daffy, Porky, and the rest of the gang.”

While no artists have been tapped for the new shorts, voice actors Eric Bauza, Jeff Bergman, and Bob Bergen are slated to be involved. Looney Tunes Cartoons will be distributed via digital, mobile, and broadcast, with each season including 1,000 minutes of shorts.
