Before he illustrated bestselling comics such as Green Lantern: Rebirth, Flash: Rebirth, and Sinestro Corps War, artist Ethan Van Sciver introduced the world to his creator-owned Cyberfrog courtesy of Harris Comics in 1996.

About a month ago, Van Sciver launched a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo to bring back Cyberfrog in the 48-page Cyberfrog: Bloodhoney, the first of four such graphic novels he has planned. His fundraising goal was a relatively modest $8,000.

He’s done okay with that.

To date, Cyberfrog: Bloodhoney is the most successful crowdfunded comic in history. As we post this story, the project has raised $403,909. As the Indigogo page will tell you, that’s 5,049% of his fundraising goal.

As you may know, Van Sciver also illustrated our Flash/Green Lantern hardcover and softcover editions of The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide #48, due out Wednesday, July 18, 2018.
