As many comic book characters find success on the big and small screens, TV and movie characters are welcomed into comics. These transitions from screen to page will be discussed during the “Licensed! Overstreet Looks at Licensed Comics” panel at Comic-Con International: San Diego.

The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide and Gemstone Publishing will host this discussion of what makes for great licensed comic book titles. From Star Trek to Stargate Atlantis, Walt Disney’s Comics and Stories to Army of Darkness licensed comics have seen successes and challenges, which will be the topic of this event.

Panelists include Mark Wheatley (Jonny Quest), Skybound’s Chris Ryall (ROM), writer Andy Mangels (Wonder Woman ’77 Meets the Bionic Woman), Captain Action Enterprise’s Ed Catto, and writer Mark L. Haynes (Stargate Atlantis), moderated by our own Vice-President of Publishing J.C. Vaughn (Stargate Atlantis).
