Hero Initiative, the charity dedicated to helping comic industry professionals in medical or financial need, is getting ready to head to San Diego for Comic-Con International on July 18-22, 2018. They will have exclusives, parties, and special guests all weekend at booth 5003.

Their events start on Wednesday, July 18 with Gabe Eltaeb’s Comic Kickoff Fundraiser and Party at Basic Bar/Pizza, at 410 10th Avenue in San Diego. Artists Todd Nauck, Jim Calafiore, and others will be there. Attendees can win raffle prizes and meet the artists while supporting Hero. It runs from 9 PM to 1 AM.

Then the party moves to Stone Brewing for the annual Hop-Con on Thursday, July 19. Stone’s famous w00tstout beer will be at Stone’s World Bistro, featuring a label and print created by Joe Jusko. The prints will also be available at Hero’s booth during the convention.

Jusko will be at the Hero booth 5003 all weekend, along with guest creators Dan Jurgens, Adam Warren, Ken Lashley, John Layman, and Paul Levitz.

Jusko is also the cover artist on Hero’s 2018 limited edition of The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide #48. This edition is limited to 500 copies in hardcover, retailing for $35, and can be signed by Jusko at the Hero booth.

Hero is also the exclusive go-to for CGC Signature Series signings with Rafael Albuquerque, Chris Burnham, Amanda Conner, Dave Gibbons, Dan Jurgens, Joe Jusko, Ron Marz, Jai Nitz, Ann Nocenti, Jimmy Palmiotti, Dan Panosian, Tom Raney, and Marv Wolfman. Books need to be dropped off at CGC’s booth 4315 no later than Friday, July 20 at 5 PM.

Hero’s signing hours begin on preview night, Wednesday, July 18 with Jusko at 6:30 to 7:30.

Thursday, July 19 signings are Warren at 10 AM to 11 AM, Lashley at 11 AM to 12 PM, Jusko at 1 PM to 2 PM, Jurgens at 2:30 to 3:30, Jusko at 4:30 to 5:30, and Warren at 5:30 to 6:30.

Friday, July 20 signings are Warren at 11 AM to 12 PM, Jurgens at 12 PM to 1 PM, Jusko at 1 PM to 2 PM and 4:30 to 5:30, and Warren at 5:30 to 6:30.

Saturday, July 21 signings are Warren at 12 PM to 1 PM, Jusko at 1 PM to 1:45, Layman at 2 PM to 3 PM, Jusko at 4:30 to 5:30, and Warren at 5:30 to 6:30.

Sunday, July 22 signings are Levitz at 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, Warren at 12 PM to 1 PM, and Jusko at 1 PM to 2 PM and 4:30 to 5:30.
