Greg Hildebrandt isn’t the only talented artist joining the Spiderweb Art Gallery for New York Comic Con this year! Ahead of the 2018 show, taking place on October 4-7, 2018, the gallery has announced additonal signing opportunities for both Saturday and Sunday.
First up on Saturday, fans will have the chance to meet and chat with both Holly Golightly and Jim Balent from 2 PM to 4 PM at booth 1764.
Golightly, the newest addition to the Spiderweb family, has an established career in comics having worked on well-known characters from Archie Comics such as Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Cheryl Blossom, Josie & the Pussycats, and Betty & Veronica. She also has her own title over at BroadSword Comics called School Bites and is currently working on a series called The Beauty of Evil.
As an artist, writer and publisher, Balent is a comic triple threat. He is best known for his BroadSword Comics company which won three of the 25 categories in the inaugural Project Fanboy Awards and was nominated for ten other categories at the MegaCon convention. His title Tarot: Witch of the Black Rose won in the categories of “Best Title” and “Best Indy Title,” and the character Raven Hex from the aforementioned title won in the category of “Best Indy Villain.” He has also worked on Catwoman, Batman, and Lobo.
Then on Sunday, Mark Romanoski will be making an appearance at booth 1764 from 12 PM to 2 PM. Romanoski is known for his parody pieces of famous Rockwell works, in which he takes famous Rockwell images and incorporates characters from modern pop culture and comics. He has also had the opportunity to create art for DC Comics, Marvel, Warner Brothers Studios, WWE, Harry Potter, Magic: the Gathering, and World of Warcraft. On November 10, Romanoski will be leading a lecture series at the Rockwell Museum.
Everyone making an appearance at the Spiderweb Art Gallery booth will have art to sell, products to sign, and hands to shake. Hildebrandt can also be found at the booth for the entire show.
