Pop culture and Americana collectors have just a few more days to bid in Hake’s current auction. Featuring 2,518 lots of diverse memorabilia, Auction #225 closes next week on Tuesday through Thursday, November 13-15, 2018.

The selection of political and historical items contains over 500 items from Washington to modern times, with campaign buttons, posters, ribbons, exonumia, and more. Highlights include a Hughes/Fairbanks 1-3/4” jugate button on Erie County New York ribbon and a Vote Kennedy Congress button from JFK’s first political campaign in 1946.

More than 100 lots of Star Wars memorabilia are featured in Auction #225. Some of the desirable memorabilia includes the Star Wars: Droids – Vlix action figure AFA 60 EX, a lot of 62 Power of the Force coins that includes the Luke Skywalker/Rebel Leader Stormtrooper varieties, Death Star Canadian playset AFA 85 NM+, Rebel Set three-pack Series 2 AFA 80 Y-NM, Bespin Set three-pack Series 3 AFA 85, Radio Controlled Jawa Sandcrawler AFA 85 NM+, and Revenge of the Jedi Boba Fett proof card AFA 85 NM+.

There are 300 posters for movies, magic, war, advertising, political, and music crossing the auction block. Over 100 of those are movie related that include one-sheets, up to six-sheets, down to lobby cards, with leading items like The Invisible Man Returns and The Mummy’s Hand linen-mounted one-sheets. Other highlights are an Uncle Sam “I Want You for U.S. Army” World War I linen-mounted recruitment poster, The Fabulous James Brown Famous Flames concert poster, Marvel Superheroes 1969 Toys for Tots poster, and Thurston the Famous Magician – East Indian Rope-Trick poster.

Pop culture fans won’t want to miss the opportunity to bid on the Ghostbusters 1 and 2 screen-used Ghost Trap prop, Ideal Official Batman and Justice League of America playset, and Masters of the Universe laser-light Skeletor AFA 85+ Y-NM. Tabletop game and trading card fans can bid on graded Pokémon cards, Dungeons & Dragons prototype figures, and Magic: The Gathering original paintings and trading card art. Art and prototypes include Batman: The Animated Series production art, model sheets, animations cels, and limited edition pieces, Collegeville Costumes prototypes, and cereal box flats and prototype original art prints.

The selection of original art contains a variety of nearly 200 comic strips, comic pages, and covers, promo art, and specialty pieces. A Bruce Timm Batman Adventures: Mad Love comic page art featuring Harley Quinn, Alex Ross JLA: Liberty and Justice comic page art framed display, Jack Kirby Fantastic Four #36 page art with Medusa and Frightful Four, and John and Sal Buscema Fantastic Four #299 cover art are among the featured pieces of art.

Hundreds of comics that are mostly third party certified by CGC with tons of keys and first issues are listed. A small sample of the popular books are Flash Comics #1 CGC 0.5 (first appearance, origin of Jay Garrick, Hawkman, Shiera Saunders, and Johnny Thunder), Fantastic Four #5 CGC 7.0 (first Doctor Doom), X-Men #1 CGC 6.5 (first X-Men and Magneto), Batman #11 CGC 6.5 (Joker and Penguin appearance), Fantastic Four #1 CGC 2.5 (first Fantastic Four), World’s Finest #3 CGC 7.0 (first Scarecrow), and Avengers #1 CGC 5.0 (first Avengers).

Over 200 Disneyana lots, specifically from the 1930s to 1950s, include a Mickey and Minnie Mouse glass vase, Mickey Mouse Club authentic Mouseketeer cast member outfit, and Donald Duck Shelby bicycle store display with rare Donald Duck rider figure.
