Talk show host Kelly Ripa will be joining her real life husband Mark Consuelos for the third season of The CW’s hit series Riverdale.
“It’s a family affair........Hiram’s mistress. 23 years of auditioning for a role I was born to play. Coming soon to the @thecwriverdale,” Ripa posted on Instagram, confirming her casting as Hiram Lodge’s mistress.
Continuing the “family affair,” Ripa and Consuelos’ son Michael will portray young Hiram Lodge in the upcoming flashback episode “The Midnight Club.”
According to Us Weekly, Ripa will join the Archie Comics inspired series as self-assured Mrs. Mulwray, “a beautiful, icy femme fatale who gets caught up in a conspiracy that’s much bigger than she initially realized.”
Airing Wednesdays at 8 PM ET/PT on The CW, Riverdale stars K.J. Apa, Lili Reinhart, Camila Mendes, Cole Sprouse, Madelaine Petsch, Ashleigh Miller, Casey Cott, Mark Consuelos, Skeet Ulrich, Marisol Nichols, Madchen Amick, and Luke Perry.
