The recent Destination D event that Disney hosted revealed a lot of new information regarding the upcoming Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge lands that will be coming to both Disneyland Park in California and Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida by the end of 2019. Two teaser videos – one for each ride – were shown off, and the names of the rides were also revealed.

Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run will allow guests to take on one of several different roles in piloting the iconic starship, while Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance will throw guests into the middle of a battle between the First Order and the Resistance.

Disney also announced that legendary composer John Williams is working on new original music that will be used exclusively for these themed lands. A quick preview of the music was posted online.

Galaxy’s Edge will be opening first at Disneyland Park in the summer of 2019 before arriving at Disney’s Hollywood Studios the following fall. An immersive Star Wars-themed hotel is also in the works, which will be adjacent to Disney’s Hollywood Studios; there is still no time frame regarding this experience’s opening date.
